Ultra Low Power, Cellular Outdoor Covert Pole Camera Systems | |
The less power a device uses, the longer it runs on a battery. No one uses less power than Boundless, only about 3 to 4 watts for EVERYTHING. In fact, everyone else uses MUCH more.
Boundless' unique, ultra low power, cellular outdoor covert true-PTZ pole camera systems run weeks 24/7, not just a few days, on an external 12V 120AH lithium battery. Power-saving modes and a small, optional solar panel provide even longer, giving you the mission length you need. |

We're often asked how our covert pole camera systems can use so little power and run SO long. Our system architect has a BSEE and MSEE from MIT, we've gone to a LOT of work to design them FROM SCRATCH -- no power-hungry off-the-shelf IP PTZ camera will do, and we have years of field experience. Our technology has been awarded four U.S. Patents. |
Boundless' The Ghost: Ultra Low Power, 5MP Outdoor Covert Cellular Pole Camera System. 1080 HD and lower resolution time-lapse video. Motorized forward-pivot pan, tilt, and zoom with a small (1" dia.) window. Internal video recording 24/7, optionally up to 6 months. Place it on a vertical support such as a utility pole, tree, or a small pipe in a sand bucket, along with an external power source. Provides comprehensive remote power monitoring for estimated run-time remaining on an external battery if used. Front cover numbers vary. |
NEW PREFERRED FOR SPECIAL OPERATIONS: Boundless' The Rabbit: Ultra Low Power, 5MP Cylindrical Outdoor Covert Cellular Pole Camera System. Put it in something on the ground, no utility pole required. 1080 HD and lower resolution time-lapse video. Motorized forward-pivot pan, tilt, and zoom with a small (1.25" dia.) window. Internal video recording 24/7. Use it exposed to weather with an external power source, or place it and a battery in a DIY curved or rectangular plastic shell for disguise and support. Use it in any 90-degree orientation and still get proper 1080 HD video and pan-tilt movement. |

Boundless' Utility Pole-Mount Solar-Ready Battery Box, holds three, 12 volt 40 amp-hour LiFePO4 (lithium) batteries in isolated parallel for improved battery safety, ease of installation and hot-swap. Connects to any Boundless' covert pole camera system using an outdoor ethernet cable. Contains battery voltage tester and high efficiency, maximum power point tracking solar charging system. Connects to optional 24V solar panel with solar-industry standard MC4 connectors. Provides solar charging status to our covert pole camera systems. |
Boundless' Utility Pole-Mount AC/DC Power Supply, provides power line filtering, surge protection, and 15 VDC. Connects to any Boundless' outdoor covert pole camera system with an outdoor ethernet cable. |
DIY Power Sources for Ultra Low Power Pole Camera Systems |

DIY: Rechargeable 12V LiFePO4 lithium iron phosphate battery of a physical size that fits in the chosen enclosure and has standard, 15A Anderson Powerpole connectors. Every 12V 40AH = 480WH (watt-hours) of battery capacity typically provides about one week's continuous run time of Boundless' ultra low power, outdoor covert pole camera system, on each charge. |
DIY: 24V 30W Solar Panel with solar-industry standard, MC4 connectors. Requires utility pole-mount bracket and Boundless' Utility Pole-Mount Solar-Ready Battery Box, which requires LiFePO4 batteries. In sunny months, in many parts of the USA, a small, properly oriented, 24V 30W panel that is connected to our battery box should provide 24 hours/day, 31 days/month operation. |
